The Minister of Social Affairs in Lebanon, Mario Aoun, visited JMP–L offices on July 27, 2009 as part of his tour to
welfare organizations active in Bourj Hammoud. He was accompanied by Member of Parliament Hagop Pakradounian.
The Minister met with the representatives of various organizations, including the Araxi Boulghourjian Socio-Medical Center of the Armenian Relief Cross in Lebanon, Howard Karagheusian Commemorative Corporation (HKCC), and the Old People’s Home of the Center of Armenian Handicapped in Lebanon (CAHL). He was familiarized with the needs of the organizations and discussed with them the possibility for future cooperation.
Hosted by the JMP–L Director Seta Pamboukian, the Minister and MP Pakradounian visited the various JMP–L departments. They passed 
through the medical assistance, the social
services, and the community development offices. Afterwards, there was a brief meeting between the visitors and some of the staff to further learn about the services JMP–L provides, the needs of the organization, and the difficulties it faces.
