This service provides referrals or help to Armenian individuals who need to be placed at institutions as residents.
Aged and/or physically or mentally disabled individuals are placed by JMP–L in private institutions, such as:
-
Armenian National Sanatorium in Azounieh: mostly for elderly and patients with respiratory problems or terminal illnesses.
-
Armenian Old People’s Home of the Center of Armenian Handicapped in Lebanon (CAHL): mostly for abandoned elderly who have nobody to care for them.
-
Fanar Mental Hospital in Zahrani, Southern Lebanon.
On a monthly basis, needed medications are provided to all JMP-supported institutionalized persons, based on doctors’ prescriptions. Read more about our health-related services.
Armenian priests and pastors visit the residents to offer pastoral care and spiritual nurture, sharing sermons, scripture readings, and holy communion.
JMP–L staff with the help of volunteers occasionally visit residents, especially during holidays, to entertain them and distribute gifts.
JMP–L encourages children and/or relatives of the institutionalized persons to visit them and to participate in the expenses of inmates to avoid dependency.
